Orange HOWELL’s latest custom commission is a brilliant union of modern American craftsmanship and historic inspiration. Frank Lloyd Wright’s distinct architectural style inspired the form, which is centered by a sparkling medallion of the D.A.R. seal highlighted in sapphire blue Swarovski crystal accents.

The D.A.R. Snowflake Ornament celebrates America’s Founding Mothers, and Orange HOWELL’s owner, Paula Zanger’s own family heritage. Orange Howell is the given name of her great, great grandfather, married to Fanny Bedwell.  Paula is a direct descendant of Robert Bedwell (on her Mother’s side), one of the six delegates from Kent County, Delaware, to the first meeting of the Pennsylvania Assembly in Philadelphia in 1703.

Perfect Circle 91 Lockhart – Miller

Perfect Circle 91 won the Indy 500 in 1926 (Lockhart-Miller) Congratulations to a century of racing @ Indianapolis Motor Speedway 

LORE: Frank Lockhart qualified on the pole for the 1927 Indianapolis 500 in his Perfect Circle 91 Miller. Lockhart led the opening 81 laps, and a full 107 before his car broke a connecting rod, setting an opening lap-leader record that stood for 64 years. The Perfect Circle 91 represents the epitome of 1920s American race car design and ownership.  Teetor Brothers of Perfect Circle Piston Rings became friends of Orange Howell through the marriage of his grandson Ralph Howell to one of Frank Teetor’s twin girls.  Those two ladies could drive and clutch smoother than any man at the shop, hence the origin of “Fast Cars & Women”.
